Data Governance Administrator / Data Steward (m/f/d)

The position is initially for two years with the option of a permanent contract. The start date is negotiable.

Your tasks:

The role involves planning and steering the development of a newly created research data governance infrastructure. We are working at the crossroads of several different initiatives to digitize research infrastructure and are funded by the German Research Foundation. The candidate would interact with several technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather user requirements, convey requirements to the development team, as well as coordinate the delivery and testing of the developed products. The candidate will manage project budget and be accountable for project goals.

Your qualifications:

  • Master`s degree or higher preferable in data science / engineering / physics / chemistry /computer science
  • Basic knowledge of key IT technologies, such a databases, servers, object stores, front-end and back-end development
  • Extensive knowledge of the scientific research workflow
  • Good communication skills
  • Managing technical and non-technical stakeholders, and project partners
  • Experienced with organizing, planning and executing projects
