Prof. Siegfried R. Waldvogel has been named an ISE Fellow for 2026, a prestigious honor awarded annually by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) to scientists who have distinguished themselves through outstanding contributions to electrochemistry.

The ISE, founded in 1949, is a global organization dedicated to advancing electrochemical science and technology. The ISE Fellow award recognizes Prof. Waldvogel’s significant research work and his commitment to the scientific community.

Prof. Waldvogel, who heads the “Electrosynthesis” department at MPI CEC, has made a name for himself particularly through his work in the field of electrochemical energy conversion and storage. His research has contributed significantly to the development of innovative technologies in the field of renewable energy.

“This award is not only a personal honor for me, but also a recognition of the outstanding work of our team,” said Prof. Waldvogel. “I look forward to continuing to contribute to the advancement of electrochemistry and collaborating with the international community.”

The official award ceremony will take place during the 77th Annual Meeting of the ISE in Sydney, where Prof. Waldvogel will receive his medal. The entire CEC team extends its warmest congratulations to him on this well-deserved award.
