Scientists from the MPI CEC, including members of the Catalytic Technologies, Carbon Synthesis and Application, and Electron Microscopy & XPS groups, participated in the Mini SYNPosium in Heufeld, an inspiring event where experts from both organizations exchanged current research results and ideas.
Following the theme ‘Linking basic research and industrial catalysis,’ participants discussed advanced TEM-EELS characterisation, innovative reactor concepts, catalyst passivation mechanisms, and challenges in scaling laboratory innovations to industrial production. The CEC team also had the opportunity to tour Clariant's production facilities and gain valuable insights into the practical challenges of scaling laboratory innovations to industrial reality.
The event was a great success, and the MPI CEC looks forward to continuing this partnership with Clariant and to making further progress together in the fields of catalysis and sustainability.
Carbon2Chem and TransHyDE: Large-scale projects for a sustainable future
The collaboration with Clariant focuses in particular on the development of catalytic solutions for a sustainable future. Carbon2Chem and TransHyDE (AmmoREF) are two large-scale projects being carried out jointly with Clariant and other partners. These projects are crucial for the implementation of the energy transition and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The MPI CEC is proud that its collaboration with Clariant has led to significant advances in these areas.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and working with Clariant and other partners to meet the challenges of the future.
