CEC employee becomes chairman of VDI's junior staff association

As part of their voluntary work, Mr. Marco Schrimpf (MPI CEC) and Mr. Oliver Grossmann (TU Kaiserslautern) were welcomed as the new Chairmen of the <link https: www.vdi.de technik fachthemen verfahrenstechnik-und-chemieingenieurwesen studenten-und-jungingenieure-kjvis kreative-junge-verfahrens-ingenieure-kjvis external-link-new-window internal link in current>creative young process engineers (kjVI) of the VDI-GVC during the <link https: processnet.org jt2018.html external-link-new-window internal link in current>ProcessNet Annual Meeting 2018 in Aachen.

The kjVI are an honorary group of students, PhD students, and fresh process engineers. The group’s goal is to inspire young people to work in the chemical and related industries, to deepen the knowledge of students through interesting competitions such as ChemCar and chemPLANT, and to help shape their curriculum by participating in committees.

Mr. Schrimpf is a research assistant at the Department of <link internal-link internal link in current>Molecular Catalysis under Prof. Dr. Walter Leitner, and is doing his PhD within the group of <link internal-link internal link in current>Multiphasic Catalysis of Prof. Dr. Andreas Vorholt.
