CEC Directors Serena DeBeer and Walter Leitner are the vice-chairs of two meetings at this year's Gordon Research Conferences (GRC). Serena DeBeer is the vice-chairwoman of the Metallocofactors Conference, which will take place from 10 to 15 June 2018 at Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts.

They have been established in the late 1920s and nowadays attract up to 30.000 participants in over 300 conferences world wide. (<link http: www.grc.org>www.grc.org)
