In memory of Robert Bunsen

Wolfgang Lubitz honored with the Robert-Bunsen-Lecture 2017

Die <link https: www.bunsen.de _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>Deutsche Bunsen-Gesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie has honored Prof. Wolfgang Lubitz, MPI CEC Director, with the Robert-Bunsen-Lecture 2017. Lubitz will give his lecture on May 10th at the Philipps University Marburg.

The lecture is endowed with 1.000 Euros and is awarded for outstanding commitment in the field of physical chemistry. Each awardee is asked to give a lecture at one of the institutions Robert Bunsen worked at: Göttingen, Kassel, Marburg and Heidelberg.

Robert Bunsen (1811-1899) was a German chemist, who investigated emission spectra of elements, and developed the Bunsen burner.
