“Outstanding poster presentation" by Zachary Mathe at the 2023 Hydrogenase conference

PhD student awarded for his outstanding contribution during conference in the USA

Zachary Mathe, PhD Student in the Prof. Serena DeBeer’s department ‘Inorganic Specotroscopy', received an award for outstanding poster presentation at the 13th International Conference on Hydrogenase in Walla Walla, Washington, USA.

Their poster, titled "Investigating Metal-Metal Bonding in Heterometallic Iron-Sulfur Clusters with XAS and DFT," presented results from an ongoing collaboration between the groups of Prof. Serena DeBeer at the MPI CEC and Prof. Patrick Holland at Yale University. 
A full article detailing the synthesis and characterization of the clusters has recently been submitted for peer review.
