Kindergarten on strike, babysitter sick – What now?

Our newly established „parent-child-room“ simplifies lives for our young parents. Parents whose childcare arrangements have been cancelled unexpectedly, can bring their kids to work on short notice.

"The compatibility of job and family is a big pro for any employee. Employers have come to the conclusion that working parents are the new normal. A child-friendly work space is an easy way to make sure parents are able to keep working when the care giver of their child suddenly cancels. I think it’s really great, that the MPI CEC offers this opportunity to all parents in the institute!", says Camilly Spitzer, Grants-Manager at CEC.

As we have quite strict safety regulations at the institute, kids cannot be taken to offices or labs usually. So, the new office with a play area for kids, is located in a safe place near the entrance hall. An even bigger play area for kids is planned in the upcoming office building of the CEC.
