Walter Leitner new Advisory Editor at Angewandte Chemie

Structural changes at Angewandte Chemie

Prof. Walter Leitner, director of the Department of Molecular Catalysis

About a year ago, the responsible persons of the journal Angewandte Chemie announced far-reaching changes regarding the structure of the journal. The aim was to create a more inclusive and diverse journal.

A first important step is the appointment of ten new Advisory Editors to the journal, including Prof. Walter Leitner, Director of the Department of Molecular Catalysis.

The Journal wants to focus on more diversity in the editorial and advisory boards of the Journal and hopes to have taken an important and right step with the new group of Advisory Editors. They form the Journal's Scientific Advisory Committee and are the closest link between the scientific community and the Journal. They will help shape the scientific profile of Angewandte Chemie and provide input to the editorial strategy, with the aim of promoting and enhancing the journal's leading role in the field and maintaining the scientific excellence of all published content.

Prof. Leitner is looking forward to his new role and to working with his colleagues.
In addition to Prof. Leitner, 9 other active scientists will contribute their perspective and experience to the decision-making processes of the journal.
