Prof. Robert Schlögl is the new President for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The former director at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion took office as president at the beginning of 2023

Prof. Robert Schlögl, former Managing Director of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, has long been associated with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. From 2010 to 2019, he was a member of the selection committee for the awarding of Humboldt Research Awards and a scientific host of Foundation grantees on several occasions. From 01 January 2023, he has been appointed to the office of President of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation by Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock for five years.
