Teaching activities
The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion offers various programs for master's and PhD students, and post-docs every year. We annually organize a Summer School, participate in the Bioinorganic Workshop at Penn State University, and qualify students in our International Max Planck Research School - IMPRS RECHARGE.
Summer School
Since 2013, the MPI CEC organizes an annual Summer School for master's & PhD students and post-docs. Since the school is organized alternately by the various departments of the MPI CEC and partly in cooperation with the departments of the MPI für Kohlenforschung, the thematic focus of the one-week program varies every year.
IMPRS-RECHARGE
The training of young academics is essential for the future of science and research. Therefore, the Max Planck Society launched a unique postgraduate training program – the International Max Planck Research Schools. The MPI CEC was able to persist in a highly competitive environment and hosts the IMPRS-RECHARGE since.
Penn State Workshops
Since 2010, the Pennsylvania State University organizes a Bioinorganic Workshop Series.
In about 9 days, graduate students and post-docs have the chance to learn the numerous techniques used to carry out research within the field of bioinorganic chemistry.
MPI CEC scientists regularly support the workshop of Penn State.
SusChemSys 2.0
SusChemSys 2.0 is an interdisciplinary network for PhD students from various universities and research institutions in NRW. The program enables young scientists to engage in interdisciplinary activities such as joint meetings, excursions and soft-skill workshops and is a continuation of the research cluster "Sustainable Chemical Synthesis - A Systems Approach" with an affiliated graduate school.
The MPI CEC is the academic partner of SusChemSys 2.0. and Prof. Walter Leitner is the spokesperson of the network.
